RealCADD and iPocket Draw

Just a question – How is Edit > Special select supposed to work?

In a drawing with rectangles, ovals, polygons and lines both as separate objects differently coloured, and grouped:

If I select Some > Group: nothing selects

If I select Some > Group > Pen color Red: nothing selects

If I select Some > Group, Line > Pen colour Blue: just the blue line selects

If I select Some > Group, Line, Oval, Polygon, Rectangle > Pen colour Red: all the groups select, regardless of pen colour, plus the red oval.

I can't for example select one single group of red objects, or indeed all groups of red objets. Nor can I select any grouped objects, unless I specify what they are made of (lines, rectangles etc), in which case it also selects non-grouped lines, rectangles etc.

Yes it is a bug, again...

That has worked in previous versions but I don't know when this has been broken.

And I don't know if I can finish this version if you find a new bug every time I correct the previous one.

It seems to be almost perfect now and behaving as it should! One teeny little thing ... groups still can't select by colour – if you select Group, then it selects all grouped objects regardless of colour. Maybe that's too complicated and/or not a good idea anyway, as groups could contain many different colours, so that would make life somewhat difficult.

I've been in England for six weeks helping a friend fix up an old cottage, so not much design work has been going on until last week – traveling back to the States today and won't be back home until Wednesday evening. So now might be the time to call the new version finished!!

Yes, for group, other options don't work because they can have different kinds of objects and it is too complicated.

So, I will release the version 4.40...
