Fillet tool

Post by debenriver »

Hi Eric

The Fillet tool can be a little irritating. I've been meaning to ask about it for ages.

Where the fillet happens depends on the direction the lines to be filleted are drawn. So, for example:

Screen Shot 2016-01-29 at 08.26.02.png (22.37 KiB) Viewed 10247 times
If I reverse one of them, I get this:

If I reverse both of the lines the radius will go where I want it. Of course, sometimes, if I'm lucky, I will get what I want first time, because the lines happen to have been drawn in the right directions.

My usual solution is to use the Cut tool to get rid of the protruding ends of the lines before filleting, but this is another whole operation.

Is there a way to fix this. Not a big deal :D but it would be nice!

Cheers -- George
