Symmetry

Post by debenriver »

Hi Eric

I have started to use "Symmetry with an axis", which I really haven't up til now.

If you look at the image below, I want to flip the curved line so that it is vertically symmetrical about the red line. So I want to make image A into image C.

So, in Image A, I select the curve and ⌘D it. Then I select Action >> Symmetry with an axis and click on the red horizontal line.

But instead of ending up with image C, I end up with image B – the curve flips horizontally around whatever point on the red line I select.

How can I control this to do a vertical symmetry??

Cheers -- George

I've just realised how to do it! Click on one end of the red line, drag to the other end and click!

Perfecto!

I've solved my own problem! :D
