Great Eric – line extension works perfectly – thank you so much – you've just speeded up my work a lot! :D

I meant to say that the link you provide doesn't seem to work – I found the new beta version at http://www.adx-online.com/RealCADD.zip

4.20 has worked flawlessly so far (on Mac OS 10.6). Not over keen on the big blue dots when you select more than one object – but I can easily live with it! :D And I'm getting used to them. Are there other new features?

One thing I have found is that the new version opens DXF (translated from ClarisCad) drawings differently. Version 4.10 is very good and once the scaling is sorted out, the drawings are pretty much usable apart from a bit of tidying up. Version 4.20 seems to add in a 45º red line grouped with every dimension set (arrows, line & number), which is a bit of a pain as I have to go through, ungroup all the dimensions and then delete all the red lines!

Maybe it's something I am doing? Maybe it is a change in the DXF protocol?

Version 4.20 opens DXF files originally created in earlier versions of RealCADD perfectly. Haven't tried it with DXF's from any other sources.

Can you send me a DXF file from ClarisCad?

I have opened your dxf file with RealCADD (and iPocket Draw) and I don't see any red line.

Do you have seen this problem with this file?

Wow – that is VERY odd! Yes, I opened the DXF file I sent you with my version 4.20 and there were red lines on each dimensional arrow. If I open it with 4.10, it is quite normal. Could I have downloaded the wrong version of 4.20 or something. Your link didn't work, so I experimented and found the file at RealCADD.zip, not RealCADD420.zip. My version says it is 4.20 OK.

It's not worth spending lots of time on. I will go back and experiment (like emailing it to myself etc.)

I have corrected the link.
The version that you have downloaded is the good one.

Can you send me the RealCADD file just after converting the DXF?

Thanks.
