Can't open files from File menu!

I've done a series of drawings. However, when I try to go back to the original room layout, via Open..., all of the files in the folder are not accessible. And only one of them (not the one I want, of course) is in the Recent Files list. If I go directly to the folder, though, I can open the file with a double-click.

I have restarted the computer, with no change. I'm running 4.90b9, on Mac 10.14.

Merci!

Bonjour Mike,

Can you try with the last beta, please?

Thanks.

Sorry, Eric. The problem is still there, as well.

Hi Mike

Why aren't you seeing the .rcad extension with those files?? Or is that the problem??

Bonjour Mike,

I think as George that it is because the extension .rcad is missing in the names of the files.

Can you try to add it on 2 or 3 files and see if that solves the problem, please?

Thanks.
Cordialement.

It's very easy when doing a Save As to just type the name of the new file without the .rcad extension because the whole file name including the extension is selected by default so if you simply start typing the file doesn't get any extension.

That's it. I added the .rcad, and it then showed up.

I know that other programs add the suffix, but don't select it for renaming. Is this something that could be done with RC? I've never had this issue until upgrading to Mojave.

RealCADD does this OK with .DWG, .JPEG .PNG etc under the Save As menu but not .rcad or .DXF It would be really good if it would do it with those two!

It's not Mojave – it's the same with earlier OSX's

Yes, I will add .rcad to the file's names if the user doesn't.

Thanks.
