4.62b and the cutting tool

Postby debenriver » Mon Nov 07, 2016 9:53 am

Hi Eric

4.62b seems to have solved all the minor 4.61 problems with the exception of the Cutting tool (M). No more flickering Tools pallet etc.

On a new drawing, drawing simple shapes and lines, the Cutting tool seems to work impeccably. But on an older, more complicated drawing it most often cuts but does not remove the cut section – see http://whisstock.com/cut.mov

Sometimes, on older drawings it will cut and remove – perhaps 1 in 5 times. It doesn't seem to matter if it's old lines or newly drawn lines, or a mixture; or if the lines are derived from a polygon or simply drawn as lines.

I'm using the Cocoa version. I haven't tried it on Carbon.

Otherwise all is good!!

Cheers -- George

Bonjour George,

I can't reproduce this.
Can you send to me a file which do that, please ?

Thank you.

Cordialement.

Thank you George, I have received it and I think that I have found the bug.
It occurs when the line clicked with the cutting tool has an intersection with an arc outside the line.
A test was forgotten.

To try it :RealCADD4.62b2
