I can reproduce this problem with a new file.
I think that this occurs when a drawing has many layers and when you use the tool on objects which are not on the active layer with the option "on active layer" off.

Bonjour George It is because the angles are calculated from the beginning of the lines. If you draw a line from top to bottom, the angle is 270° (with y up positive) But if you draw the line from bottom to top, the angle is 90°. You can see the angle when you drag the line. I do a new command "Apply attributes" in the menu Action to apply the attributes of the last selected object to all other selected objects.
I think that this will respond to your request.

Georges, If you choose multiple offset with an offset of 20mm for example and a number of 2, depending of the mouse position you can have parallels at 20mm and 40mm or 40mm and 80mm or 60mm and 120mm etc... If you choose interactive offset, yes it just go as far as you drag. The menu Action -> Paral...
